Wendy Hodges grew up in the historic city of Conway- which is just a few miles from the beach. She attended Coastal Carolina University and The University of South Carolina where she obtained a degree in English Education and a Masters in Administration. Wendy worked as an English teacher and an administrator in the local school district but has worked as a Realtor for the past 19 years. Wendy holds the elite CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation earned by only the top 3% of Realtors. She has extensive education in relocation, negotiation, and marketing to earn this designation. Wendy is also a Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Certified Specialist. She works alongside Kim Davis on The Davis & Hodges team. The two ladies met when they were both in education and teaching in Horry County Schools more than 20 years ago. Wendy also serves on the local Horry County School District Board as the Representative for District 4 which includes Myrtle Beach, Socastee, and St. James' schools.

Kim Davis was fabulous. We were looking for a condo in North Myrtle Beach with very specific criteria. This was during a sellers' market and condos were receiving multiple offers. Kim did not let us get discouraged and spent so much time on the phone (we were not local) discussing our options and searching for possibilities. When we found one that met our criteria and price point she was as excited as we were. Kim walked us through the loan process and made everything work for us. I met Wendy in June of 2020. At the time I had just decided to pull my SC rental property off the market and was interested in discussing listing the property. It took 6+months to get the unit ready to sell and Wendy was with me every step of the way. I am a property investor and have bought and sold numerous homes. OMG, my real estate agent, Wendy, was phenomenal. Let me tell you, the end of April while the Corona virus was in major swing, Wendy posted my house for sale. within 3 days we had three people, serious buyers interested in the house. Went through the process of weeding them out. Had one buyer went through all the way up till the week before closing, and the people were denied the loan. Something to do with moving in from another state and having a business. Anyways It was major upset, Wendy was so cool, she actually put the house back up on the market and then three more days we had another buyer again. As you know with the Corona virus everything was helter skelter, trying to get people to do inspections and fix things that needed to be fixed. Wendy never gave up she was always a positive force in the whole process. Then when we found a new home it was incredible but she went right to work to get all the information for us. It was a foreclosure so we wanted to make sure that everything was going over safely and according to specs. Imagine, on August 7th, I have a new home!
