Surfside Beach

For those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, just drive south a few miles to Surfside Beach.  Surfside is known as the "Family Beach" with its family homes, vacation rentals and smaller hotels.  Surfside Drive off of Rt. 17 Business is lined with small businesses, restaurants and quaint shops where you are sure to find that ideal beach house gift.  Stop by Malibu's or Borgata for fantastic Italian cuisine or drop by The Pickled Cucumber and discover their southern solution to fast food.  The Surfside Pier area along the beach is home to several restaurants such as River City Cafe, Surf Diner, Bubba's Fish Shack, Neal & Pam's Bar and Grill and Pizza Hyena.  What is so great about Surfside Beach is it's walkability.  You always see family's out with children and pets.

Just south of Surfside Beach is Murrells Inlet where you can find shopping, dining and entertainment along the famous "MarshWalk".  Restaurants such as Bovines, Drunken Jacks, The Claw House, Wicked Tuna await you with great food and nightly entertainment.  Murrells Inlet is a favorite of the locals and will surely will become a favorite of yours.  Farther south is Pawleys Island where you can enjoy shopping at The Hammock Shops, The Island Shops or some of the other fine boutiques and quaint shops in the area.  Brookgreen Gardens is also a favorite among visitors throughout the year.  Be sure to stop by Frank's, The Rustic Table, Bistro 217 or Chive Blossom for lunch or dinner.
